Over at least one glass of Sonoma County red wine, three girlfriends were hanging out enjoying a beautiful Wine Country day & each other’s company.  Paula needed to go inside & placed a paper napkin over her wine, asking Barb & Eileen to please watch that it didn’t blow off.

“Why are you doing this?” we queried. “I always cover my glass when I’m outside to keep pests & particles out of my drink”, Paula replied.

Barb & Eileen looked away & a sudden breeze blew the napkin off of Paula’s vino and poof, off it “sailed”, exposing Paula’s so far uncontaminated wine to all kinds of unwanted ingredients.

Instinctively, Barb & Eileen grabbed the freshly picked lemon from Paula’s lemon tree, got a new napkin and placed it and the lemon upon Paula’s naked wine glass.

Well, one brain cell led to another & Voilá,

VelaVino was born!
